Hi @ExarKunIv
I use a touchscreen with my Pi5 and for some emulator (like Aethersx2) , it works well. With lr-Melonds, when I go in core option/Screen/Touch mode , I select Touch, but it doesn't seems to work.
Do I have to do something else?
-
@DTEAM i dont know, i didn't make this or even know about it. also i don't have touchscreen.
cant help there.does the touchscreen work in any of the other lr cores. or in lr-Melond?
-
It works !! You can add Touchscreen supported ! I did a stupid mistake, I re-intalled lr-melonds and not lr-melondsds. The "auto" mode in core options/screen/touch mode is just fantastic!
-
@DTEAM it's also worth noting melondsds is maintained whereas it seems melonds last had an update a year ago or more. So if you find bugs can always open an issue in GitHub for the dev of melondsds

Hey im glad that it was just that and nothing needing more work
-
@retropieuser555 was lr-melondsds tested on the pi4 yet.
Just checking since now there's 2 of the same script pretty much -
@ExarKunIv I've only got a pi5 at the moment setup for RetroPie I'm afraid, so it maybe too much for a pi4
-
@retropieuser555 ok thanks. ill try it on my pi4 and see.
it was pointed out that they are mosly the same, so theres no reason to have both. when one is a updated version.so
lr-melondsds
does not compile its looking for a newer version of cmake.so i will make
lr-melondsds
for the pi5 andlr-melonds
for the pi4lr-melonds
runs slow on the pi4 but mine is not overclocked. so i will still have it for the 4 and the newer one for the 5 -
With the NUMA patch, big improvement in sound quality and speed with Aethersx2. I can now use Audio Settings/Interpolation mode: Gaussian (PS2-like/great sound).
-
@DTEAM cool. it will be a nice update once it fully implemented
-
@ExarKunIv
I updated RetroPie Extra and reinstalled it and I can't see Flycast even though it's in my Pi script folder. Do you know why? I followed your tutorial on your GitHub page.. All the other scripts are there. -
@DTEAM yes it was market under the wrong selection. so youll find it under the options one
it is now fixed to be in the experimental page with the rest if you update it
sorry about that

@ExarKunIv This bsnes libretro fork might be worth adding:
https://github.com/libretro/bsnes-jg
The performance improvements it brings might be benefitial to activate emulation improvements on the Pi 4.
Thanks for the hard work!
-
@janderclander14 thank you
ill add this to the want list.

For Aethersx2, if you go in settings/graphics settings/ CRC Fix Level ---> Aggressive, you will see a major improvement on the top of the actual improvements!!
-
@DTEAM I've actually been using that setting for a lot of games (in fact it's part of my default settings now) but there are still some games that do run better under software renderer.
-
@DTEAM How much have you messed around with NUMA? Have you noticed if it has broken anything?
-
@TPR
No. It’s very good for Pi5. Good performance increase. No update problems for now.. It works on the first try. I recommand to do backup beforeIt did a test with my Pi4 and it screwed my retropie
