      retropie version 4.8.7
      pi 4 b.

      so in the retropie setup , in configure bluettoth devices .
      it does pair and connect to bluetooth device there and it founding it and the light on the dualshock 4 turn blue and i can move in the confugre bluetooth devices.
      but the sec' i press cancel to quit, its gone (the dualshock 4 pairing ).
      any ideas?

          Pi Model or other hardware: pi4 model b
          Power Supply used: pi4 adpter
          RetroPie Version Used 4,8,7
          Built From image: retropie site (retropie-buster-4.8)
          Controller used: ps3 for now.
          using emultaionstaion retropie
          ps3 controller

          anything else?

          updtae with the cable it works fine... the sec' i take it out its gone...

          cant get it with the bluetooth working without the cable...

          Any ideas what to do ?

            That's quite wierd, since pairing the controller is done in the background, without any help from the keyboard.

            I can't reproduce this - are you pairing the controller first, without connecting it via USB ? Note that the PS4 pairing is different than PS3, it doesn't need an USB connection, you just put the PS4 controller into pairing mode and then add it via the Bluetooth menu from RetroPie-Setup.

              is with no usb connection , it does find it on the bluetooth config and i can move in the config .
              but the sec' i quit the config, the dualsuck 4 bluetooth is gone.
              i did rest and tons of fix i found but nothing.
              yes with just a cable it does works (and the battery if full or enough at list )
              :(:(:(

              i do have a ps3 control connect bluetooth that that works prefect

                How are you putting the PS4 controller into pairing mode ? Is the controller paired to another device ?
