Pi5: Unable to access Pi files via windows file explorer
-
Hi!
I recently purchased a pi5 to use as an emulation station. I have followed the retropie install guide (https://github.com/danielfreer/raspberrypi5-retropie-setup?tab=readme-ov-file) and everything launched successfully.
On my windows machine, I went into file explorer and attempted to access files via network share to drop roms into folders (\ip-address\c$). I am unable to access my pi via windows file explorer. I can SSH into the Pi via Putty, and can ping my pi, and my pi can ping my windows machine. Wondering if anyone has seen this before and has a fix?
Thanks a ton!

\\ip-address\c$
Just
\\(ip-address)
or\\retropie
should do it, I don't think you need the\c$
part. -
@Grateful-Fella You could put the card into a Linux pc and drop and drop those files.

@sleve_mcdichael Thanks sleve, typo on my side in the post. I was using "\". tried without the c$ as well. I installed winSCP and it popped up right away. Transferred all my files that way. Thanks!
