Multiple Xbox One X wireless controller support?

I have a Mcbazel 8Bitdo Wireless USB Adapter 2.

Will that one device work on its own for more than just a single controller?

It's too fat to have more than one of these plugged in to the USB port on the Pi 4.

I get that I'll have to buy more anyway for the part that plugs into the extra controller(s).

Just wondering if that will even work though.

I much prefer Wi-Fi support rather than Bluetooth so this is why I'm asking.

Should have just simply asked if Retropie will let me use multiple controllers on a single USB dongle.

I tend to get too wordy at times. :P
