      Thanks for the reply!
I do have a normal TV, the problem is that the HDMI cables I've ordered along with the pi 4 don't work. I'll have to order new ones to test at a later date.
The reason I just kept working on with this screen was that I wanted to build a small (4:3) bar top arcade with it.
Now, knowing that this screen won't work for this, I'll have to research for a suitable replacement as well.
      Thanks for the help :)

If the controller is plugged in with a cord it will detect it, but it will not detect the 8bitdo adapter. I didn't install a heat sink on the internal Bluetooth chip because I had this adapter and planned to use it. I don't know why it can't be detected.

This happened to a lot of people with the new PI4 model - thinking they can re-use the miniHDMI cables they had for the Pi Zero.

If your Xbox One controller supports Bluetooth, you don't need a wireless adapter. I think newer models (after 1708 ?) have Bluetooth by default, but you can check your controller model for BT support.

I had to add usbhid.quirks=0xf000:0x0008:0x100000 to /boot/cmdline.txt and then reboot to get the missing buttons working.

@traptedmind - Thank you for posting this! The googledrive link appears to require access. Can you post the contents of the .cfg file to the thread?

      Thank you!

@crafunzio Sorry, I dont think i have a hdmi to rf modulator. Mines a rca / av to coax. I used the pi`s 3.5 jack with a AV cable into the modulator. But you'll find hdmi to coax RF modulators on ebay / aliexpress etc for ca 10 bucks.

(But i would def recommend paying a bit extra for a pi2scart or similar if you have a european / scart crt set.)

Saving the config in the RGUI

That's not how it should be done - you should (have) use(d) the Core Remapping option in the RGUI - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/#core-input-remapping.

I guess I must have completely missed that option somehow. That's worked perfectly - thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction :)

Check this out and you can get even 4 Atari joysticks connected with a single USB. Works great with my Raspberry Pi 4 and emulation station. https://www.icode.com/atari-joystick-usb-adapter-design/

Thank you for the replies everyone. I am probably going to go for the two port Mayflash adapter. The Raphnet stuff does look higher quality to be sure, but it's also double the price and on back order.

If this helps you, then I looked at the review on this site. There are other adapters there, but I'm not sure about them.
