What about a Mega Man splashscreen?! Pleasepleaseplease!!
-
@lilbud thank you. that is awesome!
-
@meleu I tried in the past, but the logo did not meet my expectations, here is the monster.
It just did not look right, Rookervik did Mega Man X if you are interested
-
@lilbud I was afraid of it... Thanks for the feedback anyway.
Do you have the link for the Rookervik's one?
-
-
@lilbud hey, they have nice ones there!!
That "winners don't use drugs" is a really good one for arcade machines! :-) -
@lilbud What do you think about creating a github repository for your splashscreens? I think it'll be really usefull for the community.
-
@meleu A good majority of mine are in the RetroPie Extra repository. Or the randomizer. I'll contact him to get the repository updated.
-
@herb_fargus Would you be kind enough to update the retropie-splashscreens-extra with the new ones I have done recently? Like Banjo and Goldeneye

Mario Kart 64

@lilbud When I find some time I can but if you like, feel free to submit a PR to the extra splashscreen repo https://github.com/HerbFargus/retropie-splashscreens-extra (see readme for filenaming conventions)

Back on the old fourm, a user by the name of adid4s, asked me to make a Super Smash Bros (N64) splashscreen, I tried and failed. Now I have successfully done it.
-
@lilbud Looks good! Do you have a higher resolution? This one looks about GBA resolution.

This post is deleted! -
I made it like that to blend the "RETRO" into the logo, make look like an actual n64 game. But, through the power invested in me by CTRL+Z I was able to undo alot of that.

@Rookervik @lilbud so the nes mini is coming out in november. I am going to make one of them a raspberry pi. I plan on trying to make a theme as best matching the nes minis theme. I am not sure how it is going to look but i might need help making a splashscreen and maybe some other graphics. Pixel art i can do but anything above pixelated 8bit nes i cant do. I just figured out how to take screenshots (really i was just too lazy to look) in retroarch so i am going to make some nes retropie splashscreens but as a pixel artist i can do things like super mario bros title screen but the title screen in bubble bobble and tmnt and stuff like that i could do but would take me entirely way too long going a pixel at a time. Im just not sure what to expect yet as it hasnt been demoed so i may ask for your help if you are possibly willing or able to help.
-
@edmaul69 Once we get more info, sure. I will be back in school in November, so they might take me longer. Send me a list of the games you would want to do. I could help with theming, so could Roo. Any luck, the nes mini will just be a simple text list. But I see what you are getting at.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
