For RetroPie, the most recommended Amiga emulator is "lr-puae" (also known as "puae" or "WinUAE") as it is considered the most accurate and widely compatible option, readily available through the RetroPie setup script; for a more user-friendly experience with features like WHDLoad support, "Amiberry" is another popular choice on RetroPie.
Key points about Amiga emulators on RetroPie:
      lr-puae:
Based on the highly regarded WinUAE emulator.
Offers good balance between accuracy and performance.
Can be configured for different hardware setups.
      Amiberry:
Designed specifically for Raspberry Pi with Amiga emulation in mind.
Integrates well with WHDLoad, allowing for faster loading times and seamless game switching.
May be easier to set up for users new to Amiga emulation.

Hi, from my experience lr-puae2021 is the way to go, its compatible with .lha files. Messed around with Amiberry before i discovered lr-puae, i found it to be a much more plug-and-play experience.

There is no such thing as "The RetroPie".

Raspberry Pi is the hardware; RetroPie is the software operating system that is installed onto it.

The easiest and best way to play Amiga games on RetroPie OS is to make sure the P-UAE core is installed. I don't recommend installing experimental packages or standalone emulators over just installing the Libretro cores themselves, because the cores allow you to use the Libretro shaders and by using Libretro cores, it means you can manage your preferred settings globally across all cores.
