Custom config file per game
-
I play mostly genesis games using genesis plus with retroarch and i setup actually retropie on a raspberry pi3.
I have tree config file for the core for each region (EUR, US, JAP) in the config directoy of retroarch :
- configs/genesis_plus_gx_pal for pal games
- configs/genesis_plus_gx_usal for us games
- configs/genesis_plus_gx_jap for jap games
In each file the system option for genesis plus gx core is set according to region (NTSC/PAL)
With this i can launch a game with the correct speed (50Hz for PAL Games, 60HZ for NTSC System).
Is it possible to specify per game what config file for the core have to be used?

if you put the config file in your roms directory, and name like this:
gamename.ext.cfg
eg:
sonic2.zip.cfg
-
Also you can do this with the runcommand before a game under Edit custom Retroarch confgurations.

I have today the same question and i'm interesting in create specific configuration file for each game.
What would be the best for me is that this specific configuration file only overide the core_region option with one line :
core_region = ntsc-u for us game for example.
So when i change other parameters in retroach it applies to the default config file.Is it possible?
