      Hi,
I just tried using the Raspberry Pi Imager to overwrite my SD cards with RetroPie after the download from the official website didn’t work. Now both cards are unusable and can’t even be formatted in Windows anymore.

What should I do now? I feel a bit screwed over, since I just lost two 2GB SD cards.

Leaving aside the fact that 2GB is not enough to run the latst RetroPie image (or RaspiOS for that matter), this looks like an issue with the way the card is read/writen - are you using a mSD adapter or a SDcard port on your PC ?
