Cupcade and retropie 4
-
I built a Adafruit cupcade 2 weekends ago to give my old model B a nice home and then instead of the cupcade software (which is a couple years old now) I did the Adafruit fbcp tutorial and then installed Retropie 4 with the setup script.
It works very well and I am pleased with how decent it looks scaled down onto a 320x240 screen. Pixel looks very good
Emulators I use on the cupcade: lr-quicknes, mame4all, lr-picodrive (genesis), lr-gambatte(gameboy), lr-beetle-pce-fast(tg16)

@CrazySpence sweet build! I like the use of yellow and for some reason it reminds me of something that could have came out of the 80s or early 90s. Put some logo sticks on the sides and maybe one on the front or around the screen/buttons area and it would look official lol!
Your build kind of reminds me of this (I had one of these when I was a kid):

That would be a great idea! I wish I had something like this when I was a kid haha. I see some other portable builds where they use 2 cell phone batteries for extended play, I wonder how those very to the Adafruit lipo batteries.

Added the Adafruit Powerboost to the mix, works very well in cutting the tether to the wall.
