    calibrate stick dead zones on retropie?

      is there a way to calibrate dead zones on the sticks of a ps3 controller? well, kinda ps3 controller, it works wirh 2.4ghz wireless reciever. its the street fighter 4 madcatz fightpad ps3 wireless

        @alfredox123 this should be possible - I've calibrated the dead-zones on my original n64 controllers, and increased the maximum range of analog values (otherwise Mario only slouches around in Mario64).

        My Pi is currently having the SD card restored from backup, but I'll try to dig out my notes regarding calibrating the analog dead-zone for you later.

          I found that I've written a response on the same subject about four months ago, so it's probably easiest if I just refer back to that entry here on the forum:

          You may wish to use jstest to aid obtaining and setting the calibration values. If it's not already present on the system:
          sudo apt-get install joystick

          jstest returns the full description of the device; this matches that displayed by emulators in RetroPie (in text at the bottom of the screen as an emulator loads; within the RetroArch Input menu; within Hatari's Joystick menu, etc)

          for example:

          jstest /dev/input/js0

          Joystick (WiseGroup.,Ltd PS/SS/DC Joypad to USB BOX)

          jstest /dev/input/js1

          Joystick (HuiJia PS/SS/N64 Joypad to USB BOX)
