Currently I have badly configured gamepad - in the main emulation-station menu i've move between games by pressing analog-stick,
but in the game (snes/megadrive) movement mapped to analog-arrows-keys.
(also in the RetroArch menu, I have some mapping issue with confirm and back buttons).

I've tried to remap buttons in the EmulationStation menu (start button -> configure input), but this configuration is applied only to the emulation station (but nt the retroarch menu or gaming).
(Also I've tried to configure gamepad in retroarch menu -> settings -> input, then press save configuration, but this configuration is not saved and all will be lost on the emulator restart).

Is it possible to map emulation station gamepad configuration to the retroarch config?

@k0st1x delete what is in your /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/ and configure the joysticks in emulationstation again.

For the emu specific mappings it's better to use this method:
