I have problems with installing RetroPie on Ubuntu. I have reinstalled my PC (old pc, dual core) a lot but the only emulator works is GBA. I tried N64 but it's fail each time. Then I tried to install the experimental version and now notting works. Can someone help me? If you want more information please contact me. Thanx

@BuZz Is there a other possible option for my problem? I will make from an old dual core PC a arcade. But when I install RetroPie only GBA emulator works. I have reinstalled my PC a lot and update my PC to the newest version of Ubuntu. N64 had never worked.

@Napie the newest Ubuntu isn't supported (you'll note that the wiki page is for 16.04) there are different dependencies so there will be some build errors until those are updated (mupen64plus being one of them)

I installed RetroPie on Lubuntu 16.10 inside of VirtualBox and I think about everything compiled except maybe N64 and PSP. It is actually too slow inside of VirtualBox to really play any games except maybe NES but I just wanted it to tinker around with configuration files. Unrelated, I also think there is some kind of memory leak in the newest version of VirtualBox because after I use it, my computer will slow down to a crawl and will never recover (even after I close everything running) until I restarted it. I didn't have this issue with the older version of VirtualBox.

What I'm trying to say is that N64 doesn't work with the new Ubuntu.

@Napie try Ubuntu 16.04 or check the build logs and see which dependencies are missing there may be other issues too. The only fully supported version is the pi version and even that has its own bugs as well.

@Napie my mistake. You said you were on the latest Ubuntu (which is 16.10) but anyways there are known issues with mupen64plus building at least in my tests with 16.10 may be an issue upstream. You can post your build log on something like pastebin for debugging otherwise you'll just have to wait til it's sorted upstream or in the setup script
