Hey guys, anyone who's made a portable project able to give me some idea on battery ideas?

I'm looking for a decent 3.7v Lithium Ion battery, price is not too much of an issue but I'm looking for something above 2000mAh.

The option is there but part of my big issue is i don't really want to order from China/Hong Kong. I've bin stung be customs too many times.

please note this is for a Gameboy zero project, so no laptop batteries ;D (yes this is something a friend suggested after I explained the size constraints)
Any help would b appreciated :)

Look into Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries. All sorts of different shapes and don't have the memory effect or volatility (fire hazard) of Lithium Ion batteries. They're really popular in the radio controlled (RC) community, and there's been a lot of development with them. I'm also looking into them for my Zero handheld.

There's not much of an RC community over here (UK) I'm afraid. I've tried what hobby shops I've got locally and the batteries they are selling are way to big.

I as more hoping for a point in direction of particular products if I'm honest. Adafruit do some nice batteries but I can't seem to find UK distributors of their larger ones.

@monstermadeofman Do you have a set of dimensions you're trying to fit?

About 80mm width, 100mm height. Depth I'm still 100% as I'm waiting for a PCB board to fit before I can decide definate. Anything more than 15mm is probably too much. But Height is negotiable is width and height are reduced, mainly because of the battery compartment area being empty after cutting away to make certain areas more accessible
