      3D printed knob

      VERY VERY VERY COOL
WHAT IS THE PART THAT THE FLANGED IS INSIDE IT?
CAN YOU UPLOAD PICTURE WITH THE MOUSE WHEN ITS OPEN?
SO I CAN SEE HOW YOU CONNECT THE FLANGED TO THE MOUSE

@lior007 no need to open the mouse. The mini flanged ball bearing is a single piece containing the rotating part. You just need to glue black cardboard on the "inner" side (side to be placed on top of mouse sensor) and then glue the bearing on the mouse. Note: ouside part of the bearing is higher vs the rotating part; means when glued on the mouse it still can rotate. You just need to check that the cardboard is not too thick.

Pardon the naive question. Having a surface rotate over the optical sensor, aren't you capturing a signal on both the X and Y axis? How do you translate to a one axis signal to emulate a spinner?

As mentioned in the docs: "Once configured, the Player 1 DIAL control (spinner, steering, etc.) receives input from the X-axis of the mouse device,"

@UDb23 Sorry to revive this old thread, but is there a possibility you could share the stl files? for v2? I am currently making a spinner and I think the knob is exactly what I am looking for!

@UDb23 Do you have a link where I can order the bearing?
                Did I understand correctly?
You stuck black paper on the bottom?
                Without cutouts?

                Edit:
                I found, sorry (KFL08 8mm)

@treki I cut out the cardboard to have more or less the same shape of the round moving bottom part of the bearing.

@treki Cardboard should be applied like this (red area)
                        bear.png

If the knob and bar you bought are fitting the bearing they look good to go.

No lamella needed? The optical mouse understood this like a black table?
                          Cool ^^

@treki Yes. Just make sure cardboard is not too thick; should be able to rotate freely.

It seems that needs a specific arcade1up controller; without it won't work.

Guy over on AtariAge did 2 sets of these already and is working on a 3rd set now. I bought one of each run and they work great. :)
