F2 and Tab not working in any MAME Emulator
-
Hi!
I'm struggling with this a little bit, but I can't get any of my MAME emulators to respond appropriately to the F2 key or the Tab key.
If I press F2, it states that it's loading a save state from slot #0
I don't remember changing this option anywhere, and none of the cfg files I've checked specify this option.Any ideas?

F2 and tab work in lr-mame2003 fine, but i can't speak for the others. Have you configured your keyboard as a 'controller' via emulation station? that might possibly confuse things...

If you did configure your keyboard, retroarch set
input_enable_hotkey
to whatever you picked for select. I typically set rshift to select, so for me rshift+F2 would work. If you want it to go back to normal behavior, then go into your retroarch.cfg and edit the line to readinput_enable_hotkey = 'nul'
. When using a keyboard and controller, you'll probably still need to use the controller's select+F2(or whatever hotkey), so it may be worth it to just get used to using a two button hotkey on the keyboard. That is, unless you want to disable hotkeys on your controller as well. -
I've tried all the different MAME emulators and none work.
I'm using a Xin-Mo single player arcade encoder. If I just use EmulationStation's built in configuration, the stick doesn't work. I've got to go into RGUI and set the Player 1 binds in there. It's detected as a RetroPad without analogue.Keyboard isn't configured as a controller, and does not respond in Emulation Station.
I'll see if I can find the hotkey bind.Currently, Select seems to be the insert coin button. Before I updated to 3.7 I could map this to a different button.

I set input_enable_hotkey to my select key, and it made no difference. I'm guessing I need to rebuild my image as something has gone wrong :(
