      HI there,

I recently installed Windows 95 on DOSBox 0.74 on my Windows 10 laptop, configured it and had it running well.

I then copied my working win95.img to my RetroPie installation. I can boot Windows 95 fine but I have no display after it switches from the splash screen to the main graphics mode. I know it's running as I can hear the sounds (and can even shut it down with the keyboard).

I can boot fine into Safe Mode (which uses a standard low res VGA mode) but would really like to have it running in a higher resolution with as many colours as possible.

I have tried disabling DispManX for DOSBox but this seems to make no difference whatsoever.

I have also tried changing DOSBox conf's 'machine' setting from 'svga_s3' to 'svga_et4000' and using Windows 95's matching Tseng Labs ET 4000 drivers but the result is the same. (Note that all other DOSBox settings are the same as they are on the laptop.)

Is there some sort of limitation with DOSBox in RetroPie that stops it from displaying high resolutions or certain modes? Can anyone recommend an emulated video card and Win95 driver pair? My RetroPie is completely up to date (including the underlying OS packages).

Any help, as always, would be greatly appreciated.
