I've been using windows explorer to transfer files to my Pi using //retropie/ , this gives access to just a few folders, the most important being roms obviously. If I want to transfer files to anywhere not accessible this way I put them in one of the accessible folders then move them on my pi with the built in file manager. Frankly its a pain and costing me a lot of time ( messing around with attract mode themes ). I've tried SSH'ing, this is restricted too but according to the guide you can SSH to Root directory by enabling root accesses and setting a password. I've followed the guide to the letter but get access denied.

      Can someone help please?

Hey man, just get winSCP its free and safe but most importantly, it works. just enter you username (pi), your password (raspberry) and your ip address. Its real easy, let me know if it works for you.

@Kristopherson05 Thanks, it worked. Don't know what I was doing before. Didn't need ip address though, just retropie, pi and raspberry.

          Thanks
