hide roms in emulation station
-
hello! it is possible to hide or something the unwanted roms from the emulation station list?
example:i have the two cps3 versions of jojo's bizarre adventure. the parent rom (jap) and the euro one. i'm not interested in viewing the parent in the list.
it is possible to hide it?any other solution is accepted!

@FoxPie
Would moving it to a subfolder be a solution? -
Does the emulator you're using allow you to use non-merged roms? If you can "complete" your clone, you might be able to simply dispose of the parent.
Also, if your game list is stable (you're no longer adding things or scraping), you can put Emulation Station in "Parse Gamelists Only" mode, and then edit your gamelist.xml to remove the reference to the romfile, without actually removing the romfile.

both solutions seems ok. just a question? what do you mean by "complete your clone" ? how can i do that?

@FoxPie This link should tell you everything you need to know about parents and clones, non-merged vs. split romsets, and how to use clrmamepro to create either:

@FoxPie
I've heard you can hide roms from the Child friendly version of EmulationStation:

@FoxPie: I use the Child-Friendly version that @backstander mentioned. I use it mainly so I can set favourites, but you can also use it to hide certain roms. For example you can hide all the shooty/gorey/horror games so you can leave your kid with the system without worrying they might find something you don't want them to play.
One thing though, if you have the system set to kid-friendly mode, you won't have access to most of the system settings. This is so the kid can't accidentally mess up your system by playing with the settings. This also stops your drunk friends from doing the same.
