PSXPi

Hi Guys,
Newest hacking project for me was this: https://markyh444.wordpress.com/psxpi/
It's a Pi3 inside an original PS1 re-using the power button (not reset) and the controller ports. I also have full access to the power, HDMI and SD card from the rear panel thanks to some extension leads and it uses a Mausberry for safe power-down.
It's come out pretty nice and slick I think. Thanks to @meleu for the controller select script as well. Didn't think I'd have to use it even though I thought it was a good idea, until I built this project! The cheap USB to PSX adaptor I bought is perma-connected and was stealing player 1 and 2 from me! Thanks to your script though, I gave the Bluetooth 8bitdo pad priority when connected and all is well.
Comments and questions welcomed. It's taken ages, and was nearly finished last week til I slipped with a craft knife and half-took my knuckle off...

Looks nice! And good job on those splash screens. I was hoping Herb wouldn't ask me to take all the carbon art I made and create a full set of Carbon-style splash screens.

@Rookervik Cheers dude, I like to dabble in Photoshop but only when something interests me. I don't know if I could handle the demands that seem to be being made of you of late...

@markyh444 Wow! Nicely build. And the manual is really neat! :-)
My friend @R1n0X needs to take a look at it. He bought a PSX skeleton just to make this kind of project.

@markyh444 Great work; really like the instruction manual - a nice touch. If I can find a pdf of the original SNES manual I might do something similar myself.

@meleu I'm happy to answer any questions he might have about it dude.
@jackal123uk I got some inspiration for that from someone who has actually done a SNES one and posted it on these forums. Might be worth you having a search here for it and see if they've got a template handy.

Just a quick update. My brother gave this to his wife for Christmas, she's taken over the living room and unplugged the Xbox One of my nephew.
Needless to say, she loves it and my brother owes me lots of beer now.
