@retznutz I'm very interested in this! I have likewise wanted to make a cabinet version of intellivision controls. I thought about something like the stream deck (video buttons).

I was thinking of larger controls that fit the hands rather than the thumbs; one hand for the disc (3.5" disc?) and one hand for the buttons. How about the 5" screen, vertical, with the overlay 150% larger (four fingers across)? I had in mind the side buttons could be real buttons.

The only issue I found so far has to do with some mp3 files which are played much slower than they should, Maybe I would need to try different mp3 formats but you did an excellent job. None of the other scripts worked for me because of the video previews I use in roms, your script is the only one that fits my build. I only need to figure out how to correct the slow mp3 files issue, in fact if you could implement a method to change music depending on what system is being played as in some Recalbox Themes, it would be perfect, Cheers

@jrb555 My main pc monitor is at 1440p and I use RetroPie on a separate smaller 480p. Love those pixels, part of the charm, but only if its sharp image. Your tv or monitor have to scale up the 720p to its native 1080p and that is where blurryness comes. If you play on a native 720p monitor, the pixels will be sharp.
