Another bartop project

As promised, here is my first bartop cabinet build. Feel free to leave your comments and questions. Thanks to @rbaker who give me the hint for the decals.

@edmaul69 It is not hard wood, it is laminated press wood. I wanted it smoth for the stickers

Very nice build, and I like the fact that you did your speakers that way, rather than use old PC speakers. I want to do the same thing, but wanted to know how the sound turned out. Did this pairing of speakers and amp work well?

im getting myself ready to build something like this when the wife goes away next month.
I found a good router in the hardware store and a jigsaw, I reckon i should manage it with those.

My plan is to use a load of old car hifi hardware I have kicking around. I live aborad at the moment so I plan to practice on the "wood" so that I can nail it when I get home and make the second one. Im going to stick some decent car speakers and a car radio in it for the sound, then crack a 12v d class amp and a 12" sub in the back of the cabinet. Build the bottom of the cabinet so that its a sub box.

Why? you may ask? well not only will all my 8 bit games sound exactly the same! lol, but when I run KODI to play music in my man cave it will sound kick ass. And that to me justifies the space taken up by a cabinet, make it dual use as a jukebox!

how much t moulding did you use? thats one of the things i want to know before hand.

Just wondering what you did in terms of controller interface? how did you find the zero delay performance wise etc?
Was it hard to map?

How have you found the gameplay? what types of games are you mainly running?

I can recommend the ControlBlock, which was designed exactly for that use case ;-)

@thomen I used the controller listed on the top of this thread. It was easy to setup and no drivers to install. I used 2 of them to map 2 joystick and 16 buttons
