jzintv very choppy on Retropie 4.+?
-
Hello. I just upgraded my whole setup from RP3.6 to the latest version. Everything runs great except jzintv. It's choppy and stutters like mad. Other than moving files over and placing them where they need to be, I haven't touched anything. What did I miss/do wrong? I also noticed that I can't display in 1920x1080 anymore as I could in RP 3.6. I gives a graphic error and drops back to the menu.
If you need any logs, let me know...
On an high-note, the new version of RP is so much easier to config, and took all of a weekend to get running on my console.
Thanks in advance,
JR

@jamrom2 did you try updating retropie-setup then updating jzintv from binary? Also for jzintv you can add z1920x1080,8 the middle the line of text in /opt/retropie/configs/intellivision/emulators.cfg
If there is something like that in the emulators.cfg then remove it and save. Then retry jzintv. -
Ok, that helped, thanks a bunch.
Still not getting full screen at 1920x1080... it's playing in a native size much smaller... but it's playing well with no stutters.
Here is my es_systems.cfg file for jzintv:
<system>
<name>intellivision</name>
<fullname>Intellivision</fullname>
<path>/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/intellivision</path>
<extension>.int .bin .rom .INT .BIN .ROM</extension>
<command>/opt/retropie/emulators/jzintv/bin/jzintv -v1 --kbdhackfile=/opt/retropie/emulators/jzintv/hackfile.cfg %ROM%</command>
<platform>intellivision</platform>
<theme>intellivision</theme>
</system>Here is my emulators.cfg for Intellivision (jzintv)
jzintv = "/opt/retropie/emulators/jzintv/bin/jzintv -v1 -p -z1920x1080,8 -f1 -q /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS -q %ROM%"
default = "jzintv"
