      Hello,

I am fairly new to this, but I really enjoy RetroPie. A friend of mine asked me to update his RetroPie to the newest version (was on version 2.6). After updating, I noticed that it was having some sound and performance issues. I was able to fix the sound and I tried overclocking, both high and turbo, and the issue is still occurring. While playing NES or SNES games, as soon as the background begins to move the background becomes dark and distorts. Unfortunately the backup that I created is corrupt, so I am unable to restore it to the previous 2.6 version. Luckily, I do still have all of his ROMs backed up. Does somebody have recommendations on how I can fix this or have a download link to a previous version that works more optimally for the B+?

      Pi Model: Pi 1 B+ v1.2
RetroPie Version Used: 4.1 for pi 0/1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
Controller used: Buffalo SNES usb controller
Error messages received: Background darkens and distorts when moving.

      Thanks in advance.
