      Pi Model 3 Version B
RetroPie Version 4.1 (latest) 4.1.5 commit
Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website)
USB Devices connected: Keyboard/3rd party Snes Pad
      Controller used: Yes
      Error messages received: N/A
      Emulator: (MAME 2003/ Mame-LibRetro)

I have existing setup of Retropie on a 32gb Samsung card that contains working roms for all existing emulators, yet I cannot seem to get the Mame one to show the list of roms. I have the correct Mame 0.78 set that is required in this location /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro but for some reason it's only showing 1 rom (1942)

I have deleted the that rom folder and even uninstalled the packages, reinstalled them again, yet the same rom (1942) shows, even though I have not copied anything to the rom directory.

However, i made a 2nd Retropie setup on a separate 8Gb kingston card without adding nothing to it, except a few roms to the /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro, rebooted and it shows them all.

Has something corrupted on my original install (1st) setup, as no matter what i try it won't show roms. Hope this makes sense:)

you should give a full path of a rom that doesn't show.

but my guess is that you have 'parse gamelists only' turned on (see https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/FAQ#why-does-shut-down-and-reboot-take-ages)

        turn it OFF

Thank you. I have spent like 3-4 hours, deleting folders, configs and formatting/restoring backups and it only boiled down to that one option that I completely over looked.
