Running slow after 4.1 update RPI zero

Hey guys, I updated my Zero to 4.1 via the menu and after that I started to get slow down on snes and some nes games. So I did a clean install and its still doing the same thing, I also swapped SD cards and its still the same. Was something changed in 4.1 or did i not set something up right?
