      Re: Retropie and Pi Top
I have aPi-top Ceed with two pi-top speakers. I installed Retropie using a clean install on a seperate SD card and then Kodi to see how it would look. Th piTop Ceed makes a good portable monitor station but there is no output frm the speakers. I suspect I may have to copy the config files from a working pitop raspbian sd card, but if anyone else has some experience with this I would welcome some input or should I say output!

Ive been trying to follow the process to copy the pi-speaker config files from the pi-top support pages, but get a permission denied error when I do a ./install-speakers even as su

You have to ask support from the seller. Kodi and Retropie have an option to select the audio output. Kodi's audio config is independant of the rest of the system, it has an option on the user interface.

It is now possible to use all the pi-top hardware including the pi-topSPEAKER and the pi-topPULSE with Retropie, for instructions see Retropie-pi-top. Feedback is appreciated.
