DS4Drv profiles

Hello!
I realize that this might not be the proper place to ask about this but I'm reaching out wherever I can to see if I can get this sorted out.
Basically what I want to do is to use ds4drv profile switching to be able to switch to the kb/m profile while still in the terminal on boot. Have the different keys on the pad bound to 1-4 on the keyboard and lets say start for enter.
Why?
Well, I'm planning to set up this boot selection thing and then be able to use my PS4 gamepad to select the boot.

However, I can't seem to get the ds4drv config to load or maybe it is loading and the profile selection isn't working (I haven't touched the config that much).

So why post it here? Well, I'm quite simply hoping that someone else might have experience with this and can help me out or have some other idea to reach the end result I'm after (Being able to select what to boot into using the gamepad)
