8bitdo SNES30 Controller doesn't work in RetroPie Setup
-
I have two wired controllers that work when i'm in my RetroPie setup screen or when i'm selecting any button to configure a game emulator.
I also have an SNES30 wireless controller. It works in the games but when i'm in my RetroPie setup screen, I can't even use it to scroll through my options. Any reasons why?

@ebtalk RetroPie-Setup (and other dialog based scripts) can only be controlled by the first joystick detected by the system. And it's usually
/dev/input/js0
.If there are USB controllers connected, they are surely detected before the bluetooth ones.
Actually you can change the joystick that controls the dialogs, but it's a little tricky...
-
@ebtalk recently the retropie-setup scripts got an improvement on this subject. Now every connected joystick can control the dialog menus. Update your retropie-setup script and you'll see it. ;-)

@meleu thank you. Huge fan of everybody's work here

I think @hansolo77 will like to know it too.

Heh that's great news! Will it work with the runcommand menus as well, or just the retropie-setup menus? In either case, that's a superb improvement! :)
