I have the Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future (USA, 990608) version. It is supposed to be compatible with lr-fbalpha. I have the file sfiii3u.zip and placed it in my roms folder.

I placed the cap-33s-2.chd file in a sfiii3u folder within my roms folder. And for the life of me cannot get it to work. I've been searching all over the board for what I'm doing wrong. I even put it in the same folder with the sfiii3u.zip file and that doesn't work.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you in advance for any input.

It's likely that you're using the wrong rom set for lr-fbalpha. A review of /dev/shm/runcommand.log should indicate this as well.

If I recall correctly, SF III 3rd strike doesn't use any CHDs under FBA 0.2.97.39

          fba doesn't use CHDs

said in Street Fighter III/CHD Issues:

          sfiii3u.zip

sfiii3u.zip would be the usa clone. i hope you have the parent sfiii.zip in there also, and they are both from the 0.2.97.39 romset, as required.

@dankcushions yes, I placed the sfiii.zip file in the same as the rom and even with the CHD for the hell of it. And it didn't work.
