Wasn't quite sure where to post this. But 2016 claims another victim.

          Oh man not another one.
Looks like whatever is up there, a higher entity, is collecting people for a big party.
A sad year indeed. David Bowie, Prince, George Micheal now Carrie Fisher, many 80s iconic idols just gone.

Me too, I shall play Rogue Squadron on Gamecube to honor her.

@lilbud For this household it's been Star Wars chess on segacd. She was the queen, not just a princess.

The episode of 'Saturday Night Live' where she hosts and appears in a 50s beach movie parody as Princess Leia is a must-see and can be found in all the usual locations on KODI (Season 4 Episode 6). It's an iconic episode all around that even has the Blues Brothers as the musical guests. Aside from her amazing work, her personality and sense of humor were so outrageously engaging that it must have been a highlight just to see her enter a room. She'll be missed dearly.

Carries mother, Debbie Reynolds, died today after a stroke.

It's official, 2016 is probably the worst year for entertainment and music

Absolutely insane. I can only imagine what the surviving family is going through.

@lilbud yoink! I will take that splashscreen. Sad year indeed. Star wars is a big part of my childhood and i still love them. I camped out for episodes 1-3. I havent had a chance to see the new one but will in the next week. She will be missed.

@edmaul69 I love Star Wars, but it will never be the same with out her. I only saw the original trilogy last summer when my parents broke out the original VHS tapes. Want to go see Rogue One before it gets spoiled.

So many amazing talents passed on in 2016. Very saddened by the news of Carrie Fissher and her mother.

I did read that Carrie Fisher had already finished all her scenes for Episode VIII before her passing:
