      Paging @herb_fargus :)
      lr-fba-next

      • as per http://www.fbalpha.com/view/231/, needs romset updating to .38 in title and first column (and presumably the linked .dat file)
      • 'based on mame ..' should be 0.173 now
      • needs RPI3 column adding
      • latest dat file is https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_51EcTfJiTqWHdtUmtBZ01JSTg/view (for your https://github.com/HerbFargus/retropie-dat/archive/master.zip repo)
      • game list needs updating with the new games added.

happy helping out with this stuff if you want? seems like it's always changing :/

@herb_fargus great, thanks! i'll get started. just one thing, with the FBA-next spreadsheet i noticed you had 2 worksheets tabs, for each of the previous 2 versions. i get that, as users running older versions of retropie would likely have these older FBA versions, but since we seem to be getting every FBA update that happens, maybe we should just have one sheet and update/add to it?

                done! phew, that took ages!

for anyone curious, there's a few games added to the latest version of FBA-next that caught my eye:
open ice (on mame2003 i think, but was slow performance on a pi2)
killer instinct 1 /2 (on mame2003 but can't get it to work - if it works in FBA that's huge!)
mortal kombat 3 & ultimate mk3 (on mame2003 i think, but still - first mk game i've seen in FBA)

@herb_fargus i couldn't delete the final sheet due to permissions for some reason, even though I could delete all data! it's blank now, but could you do it, for tidyness? thanks :)

@dankcushions hmm that's weird. But yeah it's deleted. Thanks for keeping it all up to date :)

@herb_fargus seems like someone has deleted the rpi1 and 2 columns in the lr-mame2003 sheet:
                    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LP1MELCvcxu7TfiowF_0ZuvRVEMqlfQyTVetnOJvuJc

according to the revision history, it was an anonymous user on the 26th of june. i suggest reverting to the last good one: 26 June, 17:44?

is there a way of protecting columns, but still allowing the contents to be edited? hmm..

                      :/ Idiot.

Is it possible to disallow anonymous editing - might put off people from breaking it if they have to use a real google account ?

It's possible to protect parts from editing, I don't know about if it's possible to protect from deleting but still allow editing.

@BuZz you can protect the columns you want to prevent from being removed, but use an exception to all data rows. In this way, the header (or other rows above the data) are protected. This allows editing the data rows, but the column can't be deleted because the user is stopped by the protected cells above.

paging @herb_fargus :) it looks like i have access to revert some of the spreadseets, but not the mame2003 one, for example - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LP1MELCvcxu7TfiowF_0ZuvRVEMqlfQyTVetnOJvuJc/edit#gid=1744967714

after that i think we should follow @caver01's suggestion, and also disabling anonymous editing, as @BuZz says. i think some of the other sheets are in a bit of a mess also, at quick glance.

@dankcushions said in MAME/FBA Compatibility lists need small updates:

vert some of the spreadseets, but not the mame2003 o

You are set as an editor and I changed the protected columns to be editable by you as well, so you should be able to change everything I can

@dankcushions do you want me to change the ownership to you? I have lots of life decisions right now and I don't know how much longer I'll be able to maintain these things, (and you probably have a much better understanding of mame than I do)

@herb_fargus sure! actually i seem to be able to do reversions from the history now? so it doesn't make much difference for me :) i'm not really sure how editing on these sheets works...

ok i've reverted to early june.. last time the notes column was around :/

i think the permissions are good now. i've set both readme and main sheet to be protected, and the 3 columns + the notes column to be editable by all. @caver01 is this what you mean?

                                    undefined

@dankcushions Yes. That should keep rows 1 and 2 protected on C,D,E,H so that nobody can delete the columns.

@herb_fargus The links didn't break. They shouldn't, as each Google Sheet has a unique KEY that identifies the document and is part of the URL.
