      @justhoeber what resolutions does your tv support? Can you use pastebin.com to post the contents of your config.txt? Also what are you installing this on?

        @edmaul69 it is a 1080p tv but it suppots everything down to 240p. I've been installing this on a raspberry Pie 3 model B V1.2.

        config.txt pastebin

              doh!

              gpu_mem=128 should be deleted IMO.

                    @justhoeber have you tried these settings?

                    hdmi_group=1
                    hdmi_mode=16

                    If i recall correctly i think i have actually seen this before but i forgot how i fixed it or created the problem.

                    Maybe set this too:

                    config_hdmi_boost=4

                            @justhoeber Never seen anything like it. Does it do this on clean install of retropie from an image?

                                @justhoeber if it does it again with a new pi then you may have a bad TV ;)
