So I was experimenting with the Kids version of EmulationStation today, and it was working great. Then I went and updated the RetroPie-Setup script, and installed a git clone of the zerojay repository so I could install Streets of Rage Remake. Now I've lost all the extra bits from the modified ES. I checked the wiki page:
      https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Child-friendly-EmulationStation
It looks like this is a known problem, in that any time anything gets updated, it loses it's functionality.

So my question is.. how easy would this be to fix? Is there a cfg file somewhere that I simply have to replace a 0 back to a 1 in? Or is this something more involved, where I'd have to go back and basically reinstall the modified ES? If I chose to not bother, am I at risk on my system as far as functionality and stability? Like, I just live with not having it, then all of a sudden I'll start having problems? Would I be better ahead if I just use the RetroPie-Setup scripts and uninstall the ES core package then just reinstall it?

      Thanks guys! Loving this project!

I went ahead and reinstalled the modified version over top again, and it's working right now. I wonder what causes it to lose it's functionality by simply updating some scripts...
