      Hey,

RetroPie on a Raspberry Pi 3 using a PlayStation 3 controller.

I'm trying to bring up the screen when starting a game letting you select a specific emulator, but when I select the game by pressing A (or Circle on my controller), then Up, all I get is a blank black screen. It's stuck there for minutes until the game starts.

Any way I can fix this? Maybe it's a permission issue? Is there a log I can find with more info on what it's doing?

Thanks in advance for the help.

@remino Please try and provide more information when posting ( https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first). There is a list of items there you should fill out.

Are you booting into Kodi before Emulation Station ? Have you disabled the runcommand launch menu ?

Sounds like you are using a PS3/4 controller? Try pressing the select button when you launch the game and see if that gets you to the rom settings screen.
