Hi - I have Raspberry Pi 3 v B with installed latest RetroPie (4.1.10) and Kodi. I am wondering if there is any possibility to perform that action: When Raspberry starts it load Kodi or Kodi from RetroPie by default. When I want to shut down Kodi I would like to have an option to exit not only permanently or shut down a system, but also an option to back to RetroPie with Emulation Station.

any idea why kodi crash after language change?

You have already that option in RetroPie-Setup > Configuration Tools > Autostart

I can change Kodi language fine here. Post your Kodi log:

It not work on that way. I can pick one - Kodi or emulation station.

          1. If I pick Kodi, I have no way back to emulation station (I can use only SSH to run setup script and set ES on start)
          2. If I pick ES Kodi will not run on autostart.

I hope that I've made a mistake and I can run Kodi automatically and back to console for playing games when necessery. Where can I find logs for Kodi

Edit1 - After reinstallation Languare problem dissapear.
Edit2 - I've found that even if I run Kodi from PORTS menu I cannot exit to ES.

There maybe be some problem with your instalation since if you set autostart to Kodi, when you exit, it returns to ES, at least since RetroPie 4.1. Also, if you run Kodi from Ports in ES, when you exit it should go back to ES.

Like I said earlier, please provide the information requested here, otherwise people won't be able to help you:

            And the Kodi log:

Also, if your TV has CEC support, make sure you disable TV standby on exit in Kodi > system > system > input > peripherals > CEC

                OK, so first things first:

Pi Model or other hardware: PI3 ver. b
                Power Supply used: 3A 5V
RetroPie Version Used (3.6, 3.8.1, 4.01 etc.. - do not write latest): 4.1.10
Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, Berryboot, or on top of existing OS etc..): Pre made SD image from RetroPie site
USB Devices connected: Logitech Unify receiver
Controller used: Generic GASIA PS3 controller (works fine)
Error messages received: Kodi do not exit to emulation station
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): not relevant
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide) not relevant
File: (File with issue - with FULL path) not relevant
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable): not relevant

BINGO Mate! Reinstallation resolved some problem with language installation, but the configuration of CEC resolved this problm completly. Now RPI3 boots into Kodi (this makes using it easy for my Daughter and Wife), and I can exit to ES (for evening relax :D ). I used berryBoot for this, but it was really annoing and did not used full amount of memory. Also Bluetooth id not worked properly and did not worked with my generic gamepad. Now everything works just G-R-8!

                Many Many thanks

Next time you have an issue put it in the correct category. I moved it this time.
