      Hello

I have seen this posted and have tried to follow the guide but I am still having issues I have a two player bartop arcade

      http://imgur.com/a/v4OVc

I have two generic zero delay encoder boards one for player one and one for player two. I configure them just by pressing start and holding down the buttons and save them. In the menu everything is great but once I open a rom depending on which joystick I use to launch the game the other gets wonky. The directions are inverted up is down down is up etc and the buttons I mapped out aren't corresponding in the game my select button should be the lower button underneath the control panel but it is the hard punch button in a typical street fighter lay out . The game was tested in fba not mame

I have followed the advice posted here

      https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/4p3uzo/2_zero_delay_usb_encoders_not_working_together/

      And here

      https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/5135/retropie-bosega-usb-encoder-issue/2

So I used putty to ssh into my pie and edit the cmd line and this is what I have

The dollar signs are not actually there i double checked it I think it was because my putty window was too small.

If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate I have been pullin my hair out with this project and I am so close to being done.

I have no experience with using the cmd line or anything along those lines last night was the first night I found out what ssh and putty were

Try clear all the joystick/gamepad by:

Quit ES by pressing F4, ran sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh

went to Manage Packages -> Core Packages ->
emulationstation -> Configuration and chose the option Clear/Reset Emulation Station input configuration.

Restarted ES and reconfig controller in ES.

@egoo33 make sure you type it correctly as some characters are capital.
