I have tried and tried, every button combination I can think of, but I cant access test menu for CPS2 games (only games im running fba).
I have tried holding start, tried start+every key, and then select+every key, but have had no luck. Wiki says hold start, but that does nothing here.

      Can anyone help me???

what version of retropie are you running? the 'hold start' thing was only added in 3.7 and up, I think. if you're running an older version you could try updating lr-fba-next via retropie setup menu > install individual emulators.

@bagheera369 I can enter the diagnostics by going to the Retroarch menu in game by holding Select + B, choose Quick Menu -> Core Options -> Diagnostics and change it to Enabled and exit the menu. It's a toggle, if it doesn't work first time try again.

I just tested here on 1944 The Loop Master and got to the diagnostics menu.

          Hope this helps.

Finally!!!! On my version there is not a diagnostics toggle where you pointed, but I dug through the options for the controls, and found the diagnostics menu set to "start+r3"
So i changed it to an appropriate button, and we are now fully golden. I didnt know that the config menu there was actually gonna be useful. Thanks everyone!!!!
