I am making a portable pi using the a Pi3. I really want to be able to play N64 games, and some PSP games are a plus as well. My issue is I always get the Lightning bolt saying it is under powered. I picked up a mogix battery pack that says it can output at 2.5amps. I also picked up a monoprice 6 inch and another non monoprice usb cord that is 22AWG which should be plenty good for 2.5+ amps

      Attachments
      Teensey 3.2 for controls
7 Inch HDMI Screen attached to second battery port
Composite out for Audio (wish I had better option)
5v, USB Fan attached to GPIO (have removed for testing)
Class D amp attached via GPIO (have removed for testing)

I have tested with only Raspberry Pi and Teensey I get the Lighting while loading and even at times just with Emulation station, either idling or browsing.

Has anyone had success with a purchased battery pack and or USB cord that gives them plenty of power? I prefer something around the size of the mogix above. Around 6x3x1 smaller is nicer.
