Retropie x86 dolphin emulator controls

Hi I'm new here, but I was wondering if anyone could help. I've searched the forum for my answer but no luck.
PC: with core i5, AMD graphics
OS: Ubuntu 16.04/Retropie X86
Controller: Wii U pro
Emulator: Dolphin/GameCubeProblem:
I can't get the GameCube emulator to play with any controllers. It plays great with the my razor keyboard but that is it. All other games work with my controller including: nes, snes, N64I've tried accessing dolphin through the terminal in Ubuntu but I have had no luck doing so. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

@backstander thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure I tried that already and nothing happened. I'll try it again and make sure my files are in the right place.

I haven't tried it in Ubuntu 16.04 but that's how I got it to work in Windows 7/10. -
@backstander Thanks for your help I got it to work finally. I had to type /opt/retropie/emulators/dolphin/bin/dolphin-emu
The /dolphin/ and /bin/ are switched on mine. Working now thanks!
