Coin Op

@veteranj If you haven't figured it out yet, you won't be finding the "help" you need here.
-
@veteranj What? That was my polite way of telling you to [removed] and that nobody here will give you the time of day with your help request.

I knew someone was gonna have a cringe worthy comment
You mean you posting on here right? Do you own retropie? Do you own all these rights? Did you write retropie? You are the root cause of all things bad with emulation. What gives you the right to charge for something that is free? Shame on you.

@rbaker ok get off that high horse so we can talk sweet heart, yes shame on me for wanting my friends to use quarters to give a real arcade feel, but no I get bleeding heart bitches that want to jump on it so they can get "rep" on a message board. This is why your kids hate you.

You really don't want to do what you're doing. The only way to create what you are talking about is a similar system to play choice 10 which is timed, and that sucks. Doing the same with the arcade should be pretty easy to figure out. I know when I had my cabinet I would configure both my added "select" buttons and the coin to give a coin in mame because there is something fun about putting a quarter in. There are a million other easier plug and play solutions to do this though like Pandora's box though, and having to put coins in your machine does get a bit old over time.

@rbaker lol yes I got scared by the license, dude get the[removed], I have a arcade in my basement and I am having a big ST Pattys day party because I have these things called friends, google it they are pretty cool. So I want to separate my house to feel like different environments, so I want my game room to have a real arcade feel. Would you like me to sign a copy of my biography for you? [removed]

So for anyone that also had this problem, I have decided to go with a USB coin op timer, so it will allow power to my IPAC for a set amount of time after a coin is inserted, to navigate the menu I will just use a cheap Xinmo, so the menu works and you can pick a game but cant actually do anything in game until a coin or token is used.

First of all - I am not happy about the way everyone jumped in here - it wasn't clear from the first post whether it was for profit or not. There is no problem having a coin operated machine for personal use to get an authentic feel.
There are some regulars who are getting a bit aggressive and it needs to stop. Sure it's frustrating here sometimes with the same questions over and over again, and having to ask people to read the forum rules but attacking is not acceptable. I don't care if you have been here for a month or a year - this stops now. The increase in use of bad language is also not appreciated - keep it clean.
@veteranj your second to last post is totally unacceptable. Only because of some of the earlier replies are you avoiding a ban - but consider this a warning. That goes for others too. Personal attacks are not going to be accepted here.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
