I've finally finished all the icons and made the carousel images - and it works :D (on windows at least - will try the rpi next).
Here's a video of it in action.

Is there some kind trophy I receive to commemorate this? -
@ruckage
Herb should be in charge of the trophy his wife gave the stamp of approval. Lol -
I cant wait for it when the full thing is ready for the raspberry pi, I'll download it in a heart beat!
-
I have a version of this theme from ETA PRIMES channel.
The full carousel version is unreal and I think will be my number 1 theme to use. I cannot wait for the release. It is phenomenal!

Outstanding! It's like the Pixel Theme's little brother. Haha.
Even if video snap support isn't added, I can still see this becoming my daily-driver!!
Great work!!

Sorry for the lack of replies.
I've tested the new version of the Nes mini theme on retropie and it seems to be working well, the github version has been updated and it should now be available to download through the 'Retropie Theme installer'.
The famicom mini theme hasn't been updated with the new features yet but will be done next.
Changes
The carousel has been themed and pixel art icon has been drawn for every system. To see see the updated carousel you will need to update to the very latest version of Retropie via the Retropie setup script https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/updating-retropie
On older versions of retropie the carousel will revert to the old style.6 new systems have been added Daphne,PSP, SG-1000, Atari Lynx, Ports, and Virtual Boy.
'OUR BOX ART IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE' image has been reduced in size to hopefully prevent it showing behind some artwork and has been completely removed from the config screen.

Hey @ruckage what type of retropie are you using? Is it on the raspberry pi?
-
hi, your theme is awesome!. Could you add sega32x and Steam?
Also, the image displayed for a game is small you still can see the image that is displayed when there is no art for that game. Could you fix that too?
Thank you very much!

Hi, those sytems are on the todo list but I can't say exactly when they will be done

Well I've already reduced that image in size in this update. What artwork are you using where this is still an issue - can you post an example so that I can see the problem? A screenshot of the problem and the actual boxart/preview image file would be very helpful. Thanks.

@ruckage Sorry I can't take a picture right now.
I'm using this scraper
https://github.com/Universal-Rom-Tools/Universal-XML-Scraper/releasesand the images that i'm generating are like this:
with that type of image I can see the lower part of the character (for other games the boxart is smaller)
-
@ruckage So you can play DS on the pi?
-
@CodeDrawer Yeah, you can using lr-desume. There used to be a version of DraStic for the Pi, but something happened so you can't use it.
I heard that desume isn't the best on raspberry pis, even overclocked. -

Ah, I see. The theme was only really designed for displaying the standard single images that are usually scraped. There isn't really much else I can do about that short of removing the 'mising art' image completely but I personally like to have it. In your case you can just replace the 'missing.png' file found in the layouts folder with a blank image (transparent png) to remove it completelly.
