Hi I have the Raspberry pi 3 model b, running on retro pie and I followed the guide to install retro pie and and to install the N64 rom on the pi (I have n64 mario cart, n64 ocarina of time, smash bro and golden eye installed and I am using the n64 controller.) when I start up a game ex. ocarina of time, it is stuck on the "press start" menu. I formatted the controller and it works out of game. Also with Mario cart I can press start and select a game mode but it freezes at the "select character" screen. Any help or information on this issue is greatly appreciated.

I am a new user to RetroPie as well (like 3 days new) but I installed much of the same you did and mine is working. However, I did post a help to configure my n64 controller because I don't know how to program the yellow-C buttons.

How big was the SD card you installed on your RP3? How did you install RetroPie?

        Thanks

@mfreshwater the sd card is 64GB and I installed retropie from the official website and extracted the files and reformatted the SD card.
