PS3ontroller sporadic spasms

Retropie 4.1I discovered, playing Rayman 2 on PSX emu using my lovely PS3 wireless controllers, that if i leave the controller alone, Rayman will at rare occasions fire a shot or take a little step forward. It is like the controllers have minute sporadic spasms. I thought i saw a setting to prohibit this at one time, but it was only for use with DOSbox.
Is there a setting for Retroarch in the likes of the "timed" parameter for DOSbox, that will make my controllers at ease?

@Xyb0t i had a ps3 controller that would do stuff like this. It was a bad controller. In black ops ii it would run jump and dive all at once. It was random and did it whenever it felt like.

Yea, but it i kinda peculiar that both controllers started doing it exactly at the same time.. actually when i did a new, full reinstall of RetroPie... so i would think that it is quite safe to say that it is not because of a dodgy controller (they are brand new btw)

I have the same issue with a PS4 controller. I tried three they where all connected to bluetooth. All have spasm while in game and also when it rests in the retropie menu. I can't find any solution online. I have two 8bitdo SFC30 controller and the work without a problem.
