PSX Brightness

Finally got around to messing with PSX today and it seems to work great on default settings but one thing is bothering me. There seems to be slightly grey borders around things that I think should be black. For example the Final Fantasy 7 Start/Continue screen there is a big block of slightly grey next to all the black around the text and sword. Has anybody else noticed this or know of a fix?

Solved it by turning down the brightness of my TV a bit.
