NES No Sprite Limit Help

I see that both nestopia and fceumm both have the option to enable "nospritelimit" to remove the sprite flicker. I am editing retroarch-core-options.cfg in the /opt/retropie/configs/all directory and nothing seems to be changing. This is what I have:

nestopia_ram_power_state = "0x00"Is there someplace else that I should be making this change? Thanks in advance for the help.

@TPR I change my settings inside the retroarch gui in-game. Should be under Quick Menu\ Options
