@dankcushions
Cheers. Apologies, was my first post, even attaching images it did not seem to work, also ihad to submit my post afew times to show up. Must have done something wrong. The romset i believe is the correct one.
I have individually unzipped some of the game system fines into the main kodi emulator folders to see if it works. It did, but all instructions ihave found state to place into the libreto folder only.
Assuming i do find another set of rom files, how should they be placed into the relevant folder or folders?
I also have some other sd images, 32gig and 64gig, can these be loaded from a usb stick instead of a sd card, as i don't have any 64gig cards, but do have a 64gig usb stick
Thank you

mame 0.78 sets should have individual .zip files for each mame game. for example:
dkong.zip
sf2.zip
etc.all of these are placed in /mame-libretro/, so:
roms/mame-libretro/dkong.zip
roms/mame-libretro/sf2.zip
etcI also have some other sd images, 32gig and 64gig, can these be loaded from a usb stick instead of a sd card, as i don't have any 64gig cards, but do have a 64gig usb stick
we do not support any other images apart from the ones on https://retropie.org.uk/download/

Kodi is not an emulator and is not related in anyway to MAME2003. When you say it works - really? Why would you think of placing roms in the folder of a media player? Why did you unzip? Where did it tell you to do this?

Great. So if i unzip each of the zipped files into that folder, i should be fine?
The zip files i have are simply grouped into game systems....
I unzipped a few ad placed into the individual game folders to see if it worked, some have. But i cant match up all the game system names../ to the abbreviated zip names.
Should they all definately only go into the one folder?

@Perthgamer Stop unzipping files. Why are you unzipping files?
-
@rbaker sorry, typo, i shouldnt have typed kodi, i meant retropie folder. Which has all the game system folders....

if they are full of valid mame 0.78 .zip files, then sure. i'm just not sure how that is a mame 2003 romset as 32x, etc, are not part of mame 0.78.

a valid mame 0.78 romset would not be full of all these game systems. you're on your own figuring out what goes where...

Not unzipping... when i day unzipping, i mean i have grouped zip files of multiple zips. So just ungrouping groups of zips...... differs that make sense? See my first post of thus topic, shows the zips
