Underscan with 1920 x 1080

Hi, I recently get a new monitor (1920x1080) and I got like 2 cm underscan black lines, so, I know that I can change the resolution manually (not tested), but I usually run the RPi in other monitor/tv (so it will force me to change the resolution continuosly); well, the question is, can I automate the re-scaling?.
I searched in the forum and docs and tryed some retroarch options but didn´t worked; anyway, when I enter in the in-game menu of retroarch the screen resolution shows 1920x1080 by default. I´m missing something?
