Hello everyone, thank you to all of you who take the time to read this. i have just recently been tinkering with retropie and thoroughly enjoy it !!! With that being said, I am fairly new to this and even though Ive picked up a lot of stuff from reading the wiki's and watching videos, one thing i still havent been able to find out. If I put some roms onto a USB drive, then put it into the pi, wait for them to load, then take out the USB drive, and then do it again. Well, what if my drive gets full; can I then delete the roms that are already installed onto the retropie to make room for more new ones ??? I dont see why I wouldnt be able to, but I would like to make sure before I do anything. thank you for your time.

@sbe420 Yes the USB puts the ROMs on the SD card. It doesn't somehow manage them. Once on the SD card you can remove them from the USB to free up space. The USB transfer method is just that. You might want to look into transferring ROMs via network, much easier once it has been set up.

You can delete roms from the pi memory card. Most systems you can just press select on the rom and choose edit rom and from there you can delete it. This meathod does not work on some cd based games as all you'll do is erase the cue file. Also retropie pi has a file manager that can erase roms. It just requires a keyboard. You can also log into the pi on your network and erase the rom from your pc.
