      @mitu said in Pi4 - How can safe remove USB Pendrive ??:

      You can exit EmulationStation and then, from the command line, run

      sudo umount /media/usb0

      If your USB drive is mounted on another folder than /media/usb0, substitute /media/usb0 with the proper folder name.

      It's apparently the best solution... what i have do:
      F4 to exit from ES.
      mount (to found corrent usb)
      used sudo umount
      copyed all my news roms from pc and now also the image snap and some gamelist.xml from my personal system
      type exit from console to restart es and....

      all now works whitout any issue.

      Thanks for all.

      @KN4THX said in Removing Retropie From Debian:

      As a side note, if I am testing a nightly Retropie build, will an update pull from the fkms branch or does the nightly build have to be freshly installed each time?

      I don't understand what 'nightly build' means in this context. Usually a git pull would update the repository to the latest version.

      @kok00 don't know anything about the script but for the record there are some non working parents that are required to make clones work so if you delete them they may break more games depending on the type of rom set you have.

      @Eyeball_36 I get something similar sometimes with n64 games. I'm not sure what was causing it but I have suspected the resolution changing from my default settings to the rom defined settings when launching a rom has something to do with it.

      Are the videos forcing the resolution to change? Also have you tried enabling/disabling dismpmax?

      @nightshadowpt said in "All Games" Collection adds a platform tag to the title - Can it be removed?:

      it could be done by editing a config file as many other things in the Pie.

      The areas you're referencing are generally related to the emulators, ports and other elements that we often don't maintain. Backend settings for the RetroPie fork of Emulation Station have been discussed in the past and the general consensus so far has been that the developers find it to be a bad practice.

      Is there a way to put it in as a request for the next versions?

      You can start a thread over in the 'Ideas and Development' section of the forum. If it gains any traction there, it's possible that a developer may take a crack at adding it. However, the change would still have to be approved by the lead maintainers.

      Try to run these commands separately:

      sudo apt-get remove --purge lxde*

      sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

      sudo apt-get autoremove

      reboot

      @mistersouji No, desoldering them will not have any power benefits. These connector ports are "passive" components and they do not draw power from the power supply until you physically install/connect a device into them.

      Eh, what exactly do you mean by 'getting stuck in Kidmode'?
      Do you mean you cannot unlock the UI mode back to full? Or that you want to revert to stock ES?

      @II12yanII

      If you happen to be on a Mac and have mounted the roms folder, the Finder may have put a bunch of invisible garbage files inside a few folders. If this is the case, you can view and delete them by using an alternative remote file browser such as 'Cyberduck'.

      @GetKeyOpenDoor if we deleted everything that was solved on the forum we wouldnt have much of a forum now would we? guarantee at least one other person had the same question and now doesnt have the benefit of an answer because you've removed it.
